Travel Confidentially with Google Translate
Hello, everyone! Oslynn here with Your Luxury Travel Agent. This month, my goal is to help you have the tools you need to explore our beautiful world. One of my absolute favorite tools is Google Translate. Have you used it before? It is a free service that instantly translates words, phrases, and web pages between English and over 100 other languages!
Just speak, snap, write or type the text you want translated. Translate can help with longer text, difficult pronunciations and even uploaded documents. It’s perfect for travelers who truly wish to connect with the culture throughout their travels.

It is so easy to use! I’ll be the first to tell you that technology is a personal challenge. However this handy application has made me feel like a communication pro!
First, you can download the app from your phone’s Google Play Store. Here is a how-to link for Android users. And here is a link for Apple Users. Look for the below logo! I love to use this app to translate images. Menus are a big one in my world! All you have to do is open the app, hold it over the image you want translated, and BOOM! Now in your native language!

As you travel abroad you can read the local magazines, newspaper, shop signs *AND HELLO* directions! This tool has been invaluable to me. For anyone who is a solo traveler, this app will serve you well, too. It will give you the confidence you need to truly enjoy your adventures.
This tool goes beyond practicality. For me, Google Translate helps me enrich my personal family life. I have loved ones in Costa Rica. When I visit them, it’s important for us to communicate and genuinely interact without a language barrier. This app helps me achieve those goals. I love catching up with them!

Nikki is now in the states but to talk with Yira (her mom) we message and I simply copy and paste to Google Translate to read then reply back in Spanish. It’s one of the best tips EVER and allows us to easily stay in touch! So incredible.
